I am an Art teacher outside Boston, Massachusetts. Exploring art and fine craft excites me more than just about anything. My students inspire me to create on a daily basis and they push me to be as creative as I expect them to be. My artistic practice focuses primarily on ceramics, and abstract drawing, and collage, but I love to learn new artistic techniques. My passion is in finding a way for all people to relate to art, regardless of their artistic inclinations.
I received my Masters of Education from Harvard. Previously, I studied at the University of Missouri, where I earned a Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology with sub-specialties in Ceramic Art and English Literature. I worked in art museum education at several different museums in the Midwest and New England, where I engaged visitors of all ages with classical to contemporary art. I have taught Art in a wide range of media (including ceramics, 3D sculpture, printmaking, and fiber arts). I have also taught English Writing and Science to elementary students.
